Why Veraride Exists
Car buying shouldn't feel like a boss fight.
Most car shopping websites make money the same way: you search for a car, they sell your contact information to dealers, and your phone starts ringing. The incentive is to generate leads, not to help you make a good decision.
We built Veraride because we think the process should work differently.
The Problem
The average car buyer spends 14–15 hours researching online before making a purchase. After all that time, most still walk into the dealership uncertain about whether the price is fair, what fees to expect, and when to push back.
That uncertainty isn't accidental. The information asymmetry between dealers and buyers is the single biggest reason people overpay. Dealers see transaction data, margin targets, and incentive structures every day. Buyers see a sticker price and hope for the best.
What Veraride Does Differently
Veraride is built around three principles that most car sites ignore:
Privacy first. We never sell your data to dealerships. You don't need to enter a phone number to get value. No one calls you. The tool works for you, not for a dealer's lead pipeline.
Out-the-door clarity. We focus on the total cost — not just the listing price. The AI Car Finder estimates ownership costs (insurance, fuel, maintenance, depreciation), and the Deal Review tool estimates the OTD price you should expect, including taxes and common fees for your zip code.
A plan before you walk in. Instead of arming dealers with your contact info, we arm you with data. What's a fair price? What fees are negotiable? What should you say if they push add-ons? That's what Veraride delivers.
How It Works
There are two main tools:
The AI Car Finder asks you four quick questions — new or used, budget, body style, and how you drive — then recommends specific models with real ownership cost breakdowns. No account needed.
The Pre-Purchase Deal Review lets you paste a listing URL from any major car site. It parses the vehicle details, checks the dealer's reputation, and generates a report with fair price estimates, fee flags, and negotiation scripts.
Both tools are free during our beta. We're building this in public, iterating based on real user feedback, and publishing everything we learn on this blog.
